This is the overview for the MicroCart Team sdmay22-43.
Our project can be broken down into two main parts and a few subparts
To give some context to our project as the MicroCart team has been around for a while. In the past, the class cpre488 used big drones (which you have probably seen in the lab) for their final lab where they write the PID control algorithm for the drones and then tune the PID constants. These bigger drones are big, scary, and dangerous. Thus our task was to recreate our own version of the lab with a much smaller drone the Crazflie.
Our project can be broken down into two main parts with a few subparts
1. Develop infrastructure for 488 lab
1. Prepare [firmware](https://git.ece.iastate.edu/danc/MicroCART/-/wikis/Crazyflie-Firmware/overview) for students
2. Develop a [Test Stand](https://git.ece.iastate.edu/danc/MicroCART/-/wikis/Test-Stand/overview) for students
3. Develop a [Ground station](https://git.ece.iastate.edu/danc/MicroCART/-/wikis/Ground-Station/overview) as a means of communication with the drone
3. Develop a [Ground station](https://git.ece.iastate.edu/danc/MicroCART/-/wikis/Ground-Station/overview) as a means of communication with the Crazyflie
4. Develop a [GUI](https://git.ece.iastate.edu/danc/MicroCART/-/wikis/GUI/overview) to aid in the tuning of drone
2. Interesting [demo](https://git.ece.iastate.edu/danc/MicroCART/-/wikis/sdmay22-43/Demos) with drone
1. Use lighthouse and VIVE controller
